BiD Student Challenge 2010 Competition
The competition for students about entrepreneurship in developing countries!

Yes, it is finally time to enrol!

As of September 6st the BiD Student Challenge 2010 competition is open for enrolment!

Do you want to deploy your ambition and expertise for a local company in a developing country in Asia, Africa and Latin America and help boost its activities? Create a team of 2-4 students and enter the BiD Student Challenge 2010 before October 11th.

Local small businesses in developing countries are still considered as the driving force for social and economic development of their countries. Initiatives of small and medium sized businesses in developing countries and emerging markets lead to market stimulations and sustainable economic activities.

With the BiD Student Challenge you can contribute to this development. Your team receives a business plan via BiD Network for you to review. Between October 19th and November 29th you will work closely together with young professionals from ABN AMRO and E&Y to answer your designated questions and to create a stronger business plan. As a close your team will prepare a pitch that you present on-line and in front of a jury. The jury will decide which team wins the competition.

WHAT DOES PARTICIPATION MEAN?
The BiD Student Challenge runs from the 19th of October until the 2nd of December. During the competition you and your team review a business plan and come up with solutions for improvement of that business plan. The business plans are coming from different countries and industries. The questions of the review range from topics such as market opportunities, investment possibilities, feasibility, innovation, sustainability etc.

The kick-off and the finals take place at ZUIDAS at Amsterdam Bright City Grand Cafe. In between, four master classes are organized where you can learn more about investment opportunities in development countries.

The competition is open for everyone with an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in business development. Or other professional orientation combined with entrepreneurial affinity.

Workshop BiD

Move Your World betrekt ook bedrijfseconomische studenten bij ontwikkelingssamenwerking.
